Hey there lovely readers! So a few months ago I got nominated for the Sunshine Blogger Award. Yay! Don’t know what that means? That’s alright, I’ll do the explaining. In short, the Sunshine Blogger Award is a recognition shout-out that peer bloggers give to one another to appreciate the inspiration and creativity that chosen bloggers put into their content. I would like to say a special thank you to Raymond from Rictography 101 for nominating me and my blog. I know I’m a little late to the party, but I finally made it. With that said, I’ll be answering some of his fun questions from the tag! So let’s get to it!
Some Ground Rules:
- Thank the blogger who nominated you!
- Answer 11 questions that the blogger who nominated you asked.
- Afterwards, nominate 11 other bloggers and ask them a new set of questions.
- Let the nominees know by commenting in their posts or threads.
- List the rules (like so) and display the sunshine blogger award in your post!
Seems pretty straight forward! Ready to get to know me better?
Raymond’s Questions
1. Where do you usually want to spend your vacation?
When it comes to vacations, I’m a little bit everywhere. I love traveling, going on road trips, and exploring brand new territories. I enjoy going to new cities, checking out the art districts and searching for murals, but at the same time I also appreciate spending time in an ocean-side town or a redwood area.
Wherever I go for vacation, I try to take in every moment. Currently on my travel to-do list, I’d love to go to Alaska, England, New York City and Japan (again), and go on a road trip across the U.S.
2. How do you want to spend your free time?
I spend a lot of my free time either writing, working on the blog, making progress on my freelance writing business, and organizing my social media outreach plan for the week. Yeah, I know! I’m a busy bee.
But recently, I’ve started creating new boundaries for breaks. Friday nights are my date nights with my partner. Our current favorite activity to do is to explore shopping centers, find cute home aesthetic items, and pick up food. I used to hate shopping, but now it’s slowly becoming a fun little adventure away from the responsibilities of school and work!
3. What is your most favourite book of all time?
This is a tough one! But I would have to say that the most recent book that I couldn’t take my eyes off of was Big Little Lies by Liane Moriarty. Set in suburban Australia, we learn a lot about a single mom, her trauma, and how she has to confront her past to move forward. I’m always a sucker for a strange events happening in extremely ordinary environments!
If you guys have any book recommendations, feel free to leave them in the comment section below!
4. Why do you blog?
I blog because I want to create a safe space for important dialogue. Blogging has been an amazing form of self-awareness processing for me. It’s allowed me to be honest with myself and confront issues that I used to be terrified to talk about when I was younger.
I blog to share my insight with others and to learn from others. I have also found blogging to be a wonderful way to explore other passions of my mine, including freelance writing.
5. If you found a $100 bill on the street and there is no way of knowing who owns it, what will you do with it?
If there was absolutely no way of returning the money to the owner, either I would try to use the money to help someone, perhaps leave a tip for a server (something I’ve always wanted to do if I had the means), or put it towards my post- baccalaureate/master’s program.
6. What do you consider to be your greatest achievement so far?
I don’t really think about achievements in a typical rating fashion. But I do take a look at the various aspects of my life and ponder my progress in each category i.e. school wins, work achievements, blogging goals that have been met.
For instance, one of my achievements in writing has been going from feeling hopeless about my Creative Writing degree to feeling extremely hopeful about the countless opportunities that I have as a writer. I now know that the writing field is plentiful and is legitimate work!
Another win in my book would be finally getting the tattoo I always wanted. A simple piece of art work dedicated to my grandmother. I get to look at it every single day and feel really good about the choices I’ve made!
7. What is your favourite food?
Hands down, sushi. But second in line would be tacos with chips, salsa, and guacamole.
8. What kind of music do you usually listen to?
I usually listen to a mix of alternative indie pop and general pop.
9. What is your favourite breakfast?
My favorite breakfast consists of pancakes or waffles (depends on my mood) with a side of scrambled eggs, mixed fruit, sausages, and coffee.
10. What new skill you would like to learn?
Maybe learn how to play the guitar or pick up a new language like American Sign Language or Spanish.
11. If you will describe your blog in one word, what would it be?
Life. My blog explores my life and tries to lend tips to others to help improve lives.
Time to ask my questions & pick the next nominees!

Final Thoughts on the Sunshine Blogger Award
I just wanted to reiterate how honored I am to be recognized by my fellow bloggers and not only that, but how much my life has been changed by the blogging and writing community. To all the friends from around the world that I’ve met, thank you for reading my content and encouraging me. The world can be a toxic place, but I’ve found my group of people online, people who are going through similar experiences: fatigue, frustrations, joys, learning new things… And the cool fact is that we’re learning all of this together. So let’s keep on going and creating a safe space to write, be vulnerable, and share new concepts with one another!
That was my time to shine. It’s now time for other bloggers to gain recognition under the Sunshine Blogger Award! Thanks for reading!
Good luck on your journey,
